Remains of the Day: Yahoo Mail for iOS Can Now Unsend Messages

Ever send a message that you regret? Perhaps you emailed someone saying that you want to leave their club, and suddenly you realize it might not be exactly what you meant to express. Now with Yahoo Mail you can undo your mistake—if you catch it within three seconds.
  • Yahoo Mail for iOS and Android just got a few new features. You can now unsend emails on iOS if you catch your mistake fast enough, and contacts now have more information besides their latest messages. And Android users have new, festive stationary when you want to festoon your emails with balloons and candles, among other new features like document previews and home screen widgets. [Yahoo]
  • Oculus is doing the right thing. They’re back-peddling on their contentious DRM that prevented other headsets from playing exclusive Oculus games. The games purchased through Oculus don’t work with other hardware by default, but user-developed tools allowed Vive owners to run the games—until Oculus implemented a hardware check that prevented it. Following intense criticism, they’ve removed the check. [Kotaku]
  • George Lucas’s proposed Chicago museum is no more. The filmmaker has long been looking for a home for his vast art and film collection, which includes not just memorabilia from his own films but also the works of Norman Rockwell and other Americana. Construction proposals in Chicago proved to be contentious, so the proposed museum is again looking for a home. Maybe L.A.
